A receipt for Sloe Gin from my mother.
Ingredients
By mass a ratio of 3:8 sugar to sloes (1 lb sloes to 6 oz sugar)
Instructions
- Half fill glass jars with sloes
- Sprinkle with sugar, cover with gin
- Keep tightly corked in a fairly warm place for 3 months, shaking the jar occasionally
- Strain into bottles
- Cork tightly
